It belongs to the fourth-generation Super Duty, redesigned for 2017 with a high-strength, military-grade aluminum-alloy body over a fully boxed steel frame. The 2017 redesign brought a new frame that Ford said was up to 24 times stiffer than the previous one, while the aluminum body helped cut weight. The F-250 sits below the F-350 in the Super Duty lineup, and its single rear-wheel setup distinguishes it from dual-rear-wheel heavy-duty versions. The 6.7-liter diesel pairs with a six-speed TorqShift automatic transmission. Crew Cab models have four full-size doors and a rear bench, with available rear-seat storage and a flat load floor.
