Reasons To Buy From Roberts Motors

A jewelry store once advertised that the educated consumer was their best customer. The same can be said when it comes to buying your next vehicle. For a lot of people, buying a vehicle is something they have done many times in their life, and they feel confident that they know what they are doing and what to look out for. Even if you are experienced at buying a vehicle, there are many things that unfortunately you need to be aware of or you will find yourself paying more for your next vehicle than you should have.

To assist you with this, we have created a few short videos that help explain some of the things other dealers will do that will make it appear they are giving you a better deal, when in fact it will end up costing you more if you buy from them.

No Hidden Fees

Honest and Transparent- All our vehicles are priced online and the price you see is the price you pay. No tricks here, just straight forward pricing. At Roberts Motors, we don’t hide anything, we will show you numbers up front and they will not change once you get to the business to complete your paperwork.

No High Pressure

There is no High Pressure at Roberts Motors. Many dealers will advertise a really low price that is below cost just to get you into the dealership and then pressure you to buy extras to keep them from losing money selling you the vehicle. We don’t pressure anyone to buy anything extra, we do offer vehicle protection plans to protect you from unexpected repair costs, as well as accessories, but we will never pressure you to buy anything.

No Addendums

Another tactic many dealers use is Addendums, or adding options onto the vehicle that are not advertised. Their advertised price does not include these options, but when you get there, they tell you about the add ons that you must buy as well. These Addendums can be for thousands of dollars including protection products and/or accessories that you may not want. We do offer those products, but we won’t force you to buy anything extra at Roberts Motors! We do offer products to enhance your vehicle’s appearance and protect you from major repair expenses, but we won’t force you to buy anything.

Nothing hidden in the fine print

Many dealers will include in their online pricing, discounts that are hidden in the disclaimer at the bottom of the page on their website. For example, they may include a Trade In Assistance discount. If you don’t have a trade in, they will add that discount back to the price. If you do have a trade in, they will just give you less for it to make up for the discount they are showing you. Just playing with the numbers. Another way other dealers make up for advertising a lower price is to charge a higher Doc Fee. All dealers have Doc Fees, they help cover the cost of doing all the state required paperwork. We have the lowest Doc fee around; some dealers are $200 to $300.

It may not be a New Car

Many dealers participate in a program where they report new vehicles sold to the manufacturer as Loaner vehicles, this gives them extra incentives to be able to lower the price. This also makes these Used vehicles to the buyer, not New. Some dealers won’t tell you about this program. When you buy a Loaner vehicle, the warranty has already started, so you aren’t really buying a new vehicle, it will be a used one with a shorter warranty and it will have miles on it that a new vehicle should not have.

Everybody makes Mistakes!
