This 2018 Ford Escape SEL, finished in White Gold Metallic, is a front-wheel-drive compact SUV with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 170 horsepower. A six-speed automatic sends power to the front wheels, and the engine was designed to run on premium fuel. The Escape belongs to the third generation, introduced for 2013 and built on Fords global C1 platform. For 2017, Ford refreshed the model with a wider grille, revised headlights and taillights, and an updated dashboard. Those changes carried into 2018. The SEL sits above the Escapes S and SE trims, with leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, a power liftgate and dual-zone automatic climate control. Fords SYNC 3 system brings an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while the SEL also has a power-adjustable drivers seat. This Escape has the Navigation System, with voice-activated navigation. The 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine replaced the previous 1.6-liter turbo four for 2017, bringing a stop-start system intended to reduce fuel use in traffic.
